PIEDMONT DESSERT: PEARS COOKED IN RED WINE

INGREDIENTS:

For 4 people you need:

  1. 8 pears of medium dimension
  2. 160 gr of sugar (white)
  3. 500 ml of red wine (good one)
  4. cloves
  5. cinnamon

Steps:

First peel the pears. Second, Put the sugar in a pan and add the wine. After this you can add the cinnamon and the cloves. Simmer the syrup for 10-15 minutes and then add the pears. You have to cook them for 25 minutes with the lid on.

Almost done!

Place the pears on a plate and pour the wine on them, cool and now you can serve!
